A bibliographic resource of think tanks worldwide
Policy Research Watch (PRW) is a database which collects and provides access to cumulative bibliographic information on periodicals and occasional papers published by selected worldwide public policy research institutes. PRW currently focuses on English language publications available on the Internet.
PRW is a web-based project that has grown out of NIRA's World Directory of Think Tanks (NWDTT). Policy research is a rapidly growing field worldwide, and it is therefore essential that researchers and others interested in public policy have access to an efficient means of staying abreast of research output. One of NIRA's missions is to fulfill a vital function as a "clearing house" for information on policy analysis and research conducted by think tanks worldwide. In order to fulfill this aim, NIRA has developed PRW as a fundamental tool for policy researchers particularly who have a global perspective.
Overview of "Policy Research Watch"
- Includes more than 50 periodicals and occasional papers published by think tanks in more than 20 countries
- Compiles bibliographic data (such as titles, names of authors, lists of contents)
- Provides links to the publication, including fulltext if it is available on the Internet
- Adds approximately one thousand bibliographic records annually
