Organizational Status: Independent institute, founded in 1995.
General Description: NI promotes economic growth, employment, and entrepreneurial activity. Believing that this can best be achieved through a free market economy and a society that embraces the rule of law, the right of private property, and the values of family, learning, honesty, and hard work, NI's mission is to formulate and promote public policies for the Bahamas based on the principles of limited government, individual freedom, and a law-abiding society. The institute encourages the revival of historical research, promoting a free and enterprising commonwealth, and countering the political philosophy of statism in all its forms.
