Organizational Status: Independent NGO, founded in 1994.

General Description: The institute's mission is twofold: 1) to enhance the ability and capacity of government officials and the public to make informed decisions about public policy by increasing dialogue and 2) to participate in and promote national, regional and international cooperation. CICP fulfills its mission through the following activities: sponsorship of lectures, workshops and international conferences on topical issues such as small arms, Cambodia's regional economic relations, national defense policy, ASEAN, the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and civil society; training of Cambodian government officials and the public in negotiation skills, economics, international relations and ASEAN; research on international affairs such as Cambodia's foreign policy and the impact of ASEAN membership; publication of research results, institute activities and the work of other contributors; and development of institutional relationships with other organizations in Cambodia and abroad, such as ASEAN-ISIS and the Development Analysis Network (DAN).
