The focus is on countries and regions, such as China, Southeast Asia, Japanand Korea. IFA's research work is contemporary. Research is carried out from a methodological and disciplinary background and is relevant for those beyond the academic community. The focus of activities are political, economic, and social issues, targeting not only the academic community but also the business community and decision-makers in politics, administration, and the media.
