Organizational Status: NGO, founded in 1993.
General Description: LGI is an international development, policy research, and grant-giving organization within the Open Society Network. Its mission is to promote democratic and effective government, primarily in Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. LGI supports public administration reform, decentralization, improvements in governance techniques, and public policy formulation.
