General Description: ACEG started its operations in 1993 as Africa's regional office of the International Centre for Economic Growth (ICEG) and was registered in Kenya in September 1999 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan, autonomous policy research organization. The purpose of ACEG is to contribute, through research and information sharing, to efforts directed towards resolving pressing problems that are the concern of the people of Africa and their governments; increase the knowledge of the policies that work to accelerate economic growth and expand income opportunities for those people; and promote human security and development in Africa.
