Abstract:
A result of a cooperative effort between think tanks in the U.S.and Japan, this publication provides a comparative analysis of the degree to which health care services contribute to the improvement of health standards. The dissemination of highly advanced medical technologies, the productivity of hospitals, differences in medical cost between the U.S.and Japan, and the standard of medical research in the U.S.are also examined.
